Gorgeous Stallions
Meet the boys...
About Us
Here at Mii Pally Stud we offer you the chance to purchase your dream horse, yearling or foal. (On request we may also be able to put some of our specifically chosen broodmares in foal to meet your requirements). Or we can give you the opportunity to breed some of your mares with one of our gorgeous stallions!!
Originally set up & run singlehandedly for a few years by owner Sian Drake, Mii Pally Stud has now grown in both size & stature. In 2019, when purchasing Zed from Debbie Ridout, Sian invited her to join in an admin/advisory role. Together they carefully plan each season’s foal crop to ensure a choice of easy tempered foals in smart colour choices.
Our Experience & Knowledge
Here at Mii Pally Stud we enjoy sharing our knowledge & experience which has been gained throughout the years. Together, our aim is to provide you with a friendly, approachable & knowledgeable experience for both novice & seasoned breeders of sports horses & ponies.
Sian has vast experience gathered over many years involvement with horses across most disciplines. She has worked as a Hunt Groom, & has also provided Hunt Hirelings herself. Has taken full care of Point to Pointers & produced & shown both homebred & clients youngstock to County Level. Her turnout for all of the above is legendary.
Debbie was virtually born in the saddle & has competed throughout her life - from Pony Club teams to successfully representing GB in Para Dressage. She has bred international event horses & championship winning sports ponies under her family’s Marlpoint prefix.

Foals to Full-grown
A Brief insight to our foal to weaning process.....
1
New-born
All our foals are all handled from day 1. They receive their first jabs & vet checks. Learn to wear foal slips & later fly masks, & how to be caught & led beside their dams.
2
Farrier
Our farrier visits regularly & they are thoroughly assessed from 2 weeks old & then every 3/4 weeks in the early months. This ensures a trust during farriery care and is just a normality & nothing to stress over.
3
Turn Out
All mares and foals are then turned away for grazing until weaning, this ensures healthy, happy mares and foals, the mares and foals receive supplementary feed if required whilst still with their dams, & are kept in established groups, as this makes weaning as stress free as possible when they are brought home.
4
Weaning
Firstly they come home with their dams in pairs to be weaned, they will then be wormed, and have feet trimmed. They will be stabled at night and out in paddock during the day to establish basic ground rules and handling. Some will leave as soon as this procedure is done. Others will leave well after being weaned.
5
Retained
We like to retain some of our stock to be produced onwards under saddle when they are ready. Sian enjoys the early training after they have been turned away aged 2-3 to flourish on good pasture & then they are sent away to be backed by carefully selected professionals.
