About Us
Here at Mii Pally Stud we offer you the chance to purchase your dream horse, yearling or foal. We carefully plan each season’s foal crop to ensure a choice of easy tempered foals in smart colour choices.
Or you have the opportunity to breed one of your lovely mares with one of our gorgeous stallions via natural or AI!!
The stud was set up & run singlehandedly successfully for a many years by owner Sian Drake. Mii Pally Stud has now grown in both size & stature. So in 2019, when purchasing Zed from Debbie Ridout, Sian invited her to join in on an admin/advisory role to help out with the smooth running of the stud. Together we make a very good team.

Foals to Full-grown
A Brief insight to our foal to weaning process.....
1
New-born
All our foals are all handled from day 1. They receive their first tetanus jabs & vet checks. Learn to wear foal slips & later fly masks, & how to be caught & led beside their dams.
2
Farrier
Our farrier visits regularly & they are thoroughly assessed from 2 weeks old & then every 3/4 weeks in the early months. This ensures a trust during farriery care and is just a normality & nothing to stress over.
3
Turn Out
All mares and foals are then turned away for grazing until weaning, this ensures healthy, happy mares and foals, the mares and foals receive supplementary feed if required, along with regular worming. They are kept in established groups as this makes weaning as stress free as possible when they are brought home.
4
Weaning
Firstly they come home with their dams to be weaned, they will be wormed, and have feet trimmed. They will be stabled at night and out in paddock during the day so they can establish basic ground rules and handling. Some will leave as soon as this procedure is done. Others will leave well after being weaned.
5
Retained
We like to retain some of our stock to be produced onwards under saddle when they are ready. Sian enjoys the early training after they have been turned away aged 2-3 to flourish on good pasture & then they are sent away to be backed by carefully selected professionals.
